Locations

We have two club locations for year-round target archery. Indoor shooting takes place in Northfleet, during the winter. Outdoor shooting takes place in Cobham all year.

Archery at this venue

Equipment

We have bosses suitable for all bow types including compound, longbow and low poundage.

Archers should bring their own equipment with them. We do not have lockers to store your equipment on site.

Hours

Outdoor target archery takes place at the following times:

    Winter season
  • 1st October - 31st March: Saturdays only
    Summer season
  • 1st April - 30th September: Saturdays and Sundays
  • 1st May - 31st August: Wednesdays and Thursdays, evenings only

Rules and etiquette

We shoot on a field on a working farm that is also our hosts' home. Please drive carefully on the local roads, and be respectful of neighbours. Ensure you close gates behind you. Be mindful of farm equipment and trip hazards, and look out for animals when moving around the premises.

All club rules and Archery GB rules of shooting must be followed.

Getting here

The postcode gets you to the general location. Look for the blue sign with a white sheep on it.

The local roads are narrow so ensure you are courteous to any locals and be aware that there may be horses on the roads around Cobham. Please drive and park carefully. Keep an eye out for animals and close gates behind you.

Toilets

An accessible compostable toilet is available on site, please ask for directions for use. There is no running water or power on site, please equip yourself accordingly. Hand sanitising facilities are available.

Archery at this venue

Equipment

We have space for up to 9 straw bosses. These are suitable for all bow types including compound, longbow and low poundage.

Archers should bring their own equipment with them. We do not have lockers to store your equipment on site.

Rules and etiquette

The indoor Winter season runs from October until March, inclusive. Indoor archery is not available outside of the Winter season.

All club rules and Archery GB rules of shooting must be followed.

Please wear non-marking shoes in the sports hall.

Getting here

The school is on Hall Road in Northfleet, close to the A2 motorway. Sessions take place in the sports hall, in the Sports Center building.

Facilities and access

Accessible toilets

Unisex and accessible toilets are in the corridor outside the sports hall. Access is step-free.

Water station

A drinking fountain suitable for bottle refills is in the corridor near the toilets.

Wheelchair access

The school and Sports Centre are accessible to wheelchair users.

Complaints

As a member, participant or, guardian using Bowmen of Darenteford's services, if you are unhappy about a club member's behaviour - or the club itself - you should submit a complaint using our complaint form.

All complaints are taken seriously and will be dealt with thoroughly, fairly and, in a consistent manner.

Complaints Policy

Bowmen of Darenteford is affiliated to Archery GB, Kent Archery Association and Southern Counties Archery Society. The club and all its members agree to abide by the governing body's policies and procedures when their membership application is accepted by the committee.

This form is required for the club to deal with complaints. Any complaints related to safeguarding will be referred to Archery GB's Lead Safeguarding Officer by our Welfare Officer(s).
